01

Week 1

Research

Research · Product · Tech

Try the products yourself and see how they compare.

  • Test both products thoroughly, from signing up to posts and messages. Spot bugs and confusing steps.

  • Compare similar apps and how students meet these needs today. Find useful differences and ideas for POOLit.

04

Week 4

Reflect & Share

Operations · Data · Communication

Share what you learned and practise your pitch.

  • Show the POOLit team what you tried, what happened and what you would improve.

  • Pitch POOLit to your class, seniors or a college committee, using examples from your project.

02

Week 2

Product Validation

Product · Customer experience

Hear what people think when they try your products.

  • Interview students and potential users. Explain your products with familiar examples and hear their reactions.

  • Share a short report with the POOLit team: what people found useful, what confused them and your suggestions.

03

Week 3

Marketing Strategies

Marketing · Customer experience

Develop marketing strategies that fit your college.

  • Use your product knowledge and student feedback to identify who could benefit and where POOLit fits into college life.

  • Explore different messages, channels and college networks. Recommend a strategy and explain why it could work for your college.

Both tracks cover all four modules. When you start, we’ll agree tasks and review dates around classes, exams and holidays. Tech work includes testing and reporting bugs. Coding tasks depend on your skills and the project.
